Worthington youth wrestlers do well at state meet

Multiple Worthington youth wrestlers competed at the Northland Youth Wrestling Association state tournament this past weekend in Rochester. The action came after Worthignton took first place in the region meet on March 18.


In state individual results from the weekend, Worthington's Harrison Larson was a second-grade champion, while Lincoln Graber earned a second-place finish among third-grade competitiors and Sam Dagel was second among fifth-graders.


Worthington's Bly Scott wrestled his way to a third-place finish among fifth-graders, and Kian Ling was third in sixth-grade competition. Brae Scott, meanwhile, earned fourth place in second-grade wrestling and Dominic Larson was also fourth in the sixth-grade division. Brekan Vortherms finished in sixth place at second grade.


Also competing for Worthington were Jack Linder, Tayton Thiner, Raylen Teerink and Brayden Raymo.

In state invite results. Hayden Riemersma-Feit was a champion in fourth grade, while John Kremer earned a second in PreK and Dyson Neugebauer a second in fifth grade.


Harmony Hall was another qualifier for Worthington in the girls division.


The Worthington Youth Wrestling K-6 team went 4-1 on the weekend, winning Pool 3 in finishing ninth place out of 32 teams.
