WHS tennis team wins one, loses one during week

The Worthington Trojans boys tennis team went 1-1 in matches over the course of the week.


On Thursday, WHS played at Luverne and came away with a 7-0 victory, No. 1 singles player Ian Barber earned a 6-1, 6-0 win, while Ezra Bonnett earned a 6-4 6-2 triumph at No. 2 singles. Evan Hansberger won 6-0 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Bennett Oberloh emerged on top 3-6 6-0 10-4 at No. 4 singles. All three of the WHS doubles teams won via Luverne defaults.


Earlier in the week, the Trojans competed at Blue Earth Area on Monday and were defeated 6-1. Bonnett won 6-4 6-3 at No. 2 singles for the only WHS victory on the day.


Next up for Worthington is a Tuesday match at home against Redwood Valley.
