U.S. 71 bridge near Sanborn to be closed next week

The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists that U.S. 71 near Sanborn will be closed Dec. 11-14, weather permitting, as the Canadian Pacific Railroad makes repairs to the railroad bridge.

The railroad bridge was hit and damaged by a piece of farm equipment earlier this year. U.S. 71 will be closed as crews set a new span across the bridge.

Motorists will be detoured to Minnesota 14, Brown County 2 and 21, and Redwood County 11.
