Two hurt in Tuesday crash in Cottonwood County

Two people were injured when their vehicle lost control and rolled in the ditch on U.S. 71 in Cottonwood County Tuesday afternoon.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup operated by Larry James Anderson, 74, of Waskish was traveling southbound on U.S. 71 in Amboy Township, just east of Jeffers. The vehicle lost control on the icy road, went off the road and rolled. The crash was reported at approximately 12:08 p.m. Tuesday.


Anderson and his passenger, April Ann Anderson, 75, of Waskish, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Windom Area Health. The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Jeffers Fire Department and Windom Ambulance assisted at the scene.
