State Patrol kept busy with crashes this past weekend

The Minnesota State Patrol investigated four different motor vehicle crashes on southwest Minnesota highways over the past weekend.


A Worthington resident was injured Saturday in a rollover crash on Interstate 90.


According to the MSP, a 2001 Toyota Tacoma operated by Jose Rodriguezm 51, of Worthington was westbound on I-90 in snow/ice conditions when it left the roadway and rolled several times. The crash was reported at 6:21 p.m. Saturday from milepost 13 near Luverne.


Rodriguez, who according to the State Patrol report was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was taken to Sanford Luverne Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Rock County Sheriff's Office and Luverne Fire Department assisted at the scene.


Additionally, two individuals were hurt in a Saturday evening crash that took place on Minnesota 60.


The MSP reported that a 2007 Toyota Tacoma operated by Martha Laura Vidal, 59, of St. James was eastbound on Minnesota 60 in snow/ice conditions when it went off the roadway, hit the guardrail and rolled. The crash took place at 7:32 p.m. Saturday at milepost 51 in Cottonwood's County's Mountain Lake Township.


Both Vidal and a passenger, Antelmo Santibanez, 58, were transported to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries. The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office and the Mountain Lake police and fire departments assisted at the scene.


Also on Saturday, one person was injured in an afternoon crash on I-90.


According to the MSP, a 2003 Dodge Dakota operated by Roy Ellliot Lagenbau, 55, of Mora, was westbound on I-90 in wet conditions when it entered the median and struck a cable barrier. The crash took place at 1:26 p.m. Saturday at milepost 26 in Nobles County.


Langenbau sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Sanford Luverne Medical Center. The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office and Adrian police and Adrian fire departments assisted at the scene.


Finally, a Bloomington woman was hurt as the result of another Saturday crash on I-90.


The State Patrol reported that a 2008 Toyota Avalon operated by Maria Goldino Suliman, 46, of Bloomington was westbound on I-90 in wet conditions when it left the roadway and crashed. The incident took place at 4:55 p.m. Saturday at milepost 4 in Rock County's Beaver Creek Township,


Suliman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Sanford Luverne Medical Center. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Beaver Creek Fire Department assisted at the scene.
