Minnesota West’s women’s volleyball team has moved into the national rankings thanks to its 10-1 start.
The Bluejays are ranked 14th in this week’s National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Women’s Volleyball Poll. Minnesota West will host a pair of home matches this week – taking on Riverland on Wednesday and Western Technical College on Friday. Both matches begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Lady Jays split a pair of matches away from home Monday, losing 3-1 to Western Iowa Tech and topping Morningside 3-0. Game scores in the defeat were 25-21, 21-25 25-21, 25-23. In the triumph, Minnesota West won 25-19, 25-23, 26-24.

The Minnesota West men’s soccer team will be back at Trojan Field Wednesday night for a game match against Western Iowa Tech.
The Bluejays currently have a record of 3-2-1 following a 2-1 victory over the Dorst junior varsity at Buss Field. Scoring goals for Minnesota West were Edgar Carillo and Leon Togba.
Wednesday’s Bluejay match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
