Lady Jays get past Riverland, 3-2, in college volleyball

The Minnesota West women's volleyball team was victorious on the road Wednesday night at Riverland, 3-2., in a Minnesota Community College Athletic Conference match. Scores were 16-25, 25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 15-13.


Kennedy Buckneberg contributed 13 kills and 21 digs to pace the Lady Jays. Kiarra Danielson chipped in significantly as she had 13 kills, 10 digs, 25 set assists and two blocks,; she also went 21-for-23 serving with three aces.


Also contributing for Minnesota West were: Dannyn Peterson, who had 12 kills and 14 digs, and was 22-for-22 serving; Courtney Moser, who passed for 21 set assists; and Hattie DeVries, who added seven kills.


The Lady Jays will remain away from home for the rest of the week, as they'll play at Western Technical College in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on Fridday and at Rochester Community and Technical College on Saturday.
