Lady Jays earn 3-1 volleyball win on the road

The Minnesota West Lady Jays volleyball team kept up its strong play Wednesday by defeating Minnesota State of Fergus Falls on the road, 3-1. Game scores were 20-25, 25-18, 25-22, 27-25.


Kiarra Danielson contributed 11 kills, 13 digs, two blocks and an ace on 14-of-15 serving for Minnesota West, now 6-1 overall on the season, and Lexi Schreurs had 29 set assists, eight kills, eight digs and three blocks. Courtney Moser added 16 digs while Kat Polzine had four kills, a block and two ace serves. Also chipping in were Hattie DeVries with six kills and a block, Ella Kamrud with four kills, Ella Hesse with eight kills and seven digs, and Shawna Rogers with 12 digs.

The Minnesota West men’s soccer team saw its two-game unbeaten streak ended Wednesday as it was defeated 7-0 by Central Community College at Trojan Field. The Bluejays are 1-1-1.
