The Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation presented a $15,000 check earlier this month to Worthington United, a local youth soccer program. The grant will be used to fund scholarships for students who might otherwise be financially unable to participate.

Worthington United’s Youth Soccer Academy has eight teams ranging from U6 to U18, including a girls U14 team. The organization aims to teach soccer skills and create an opportunity for kids to play competitively while also instilling values such as dedication, hard work and good sportsmanship. Much more about the organization can be found on Facebook at Worthington United Inc - Youth Soccer Academy.
