Among the agenda for Monday's Worthington City Council meeting is consideration of a task order with Bolton & Menk for construction services for the city's East Okabena Lake Trail Project.
A memo included in the council's agenda packet states that Task Order No. 42 has been prepared under the existing Sept. 14, 2020 Master Agreement for Professional Services to retain Bolton & Menk Inc. to assist city staff with construction administration, surveying and full-time inspection services. Under this task order, Bolton & Menk will provide comprehensive project management and technical support throughout the construction phase. Scope items include construction surveying, Union Pacific Railroad settlement monitoring and contract administration.
The total estimated cost for these professional services is set at $195,500 based on an
anticipated 18-week construction schedule. A fee breakdown by task includes construction administration, survey and construction staking, construction engineering and project closeout. Performance of services will align with the actual construction schedule, with an anticipated final project completion date of June 30, 2027.
Monday's meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Additionally, a joint work session between the city council and District 518 Board of Education is scheduled for noon Tuesday in the high school media center and will include presentations on possible solutions to the proposed ice arena project.
