Fourteen members of the Worthington High School Concert Band have been named to the Minnesota State University, Mankato High School Honor Band. The MSUM Honor Band Day is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 28 on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato.
WHS MSUM Honor Band members include: Denesha Ling, Skylar Tosch, Cadence Christian, Cristina Magana, Alicia Robles, Kate Robinson, Adan Hinojosa, Connor Henning, Nicole Wede, Lara Haack, Aviel Loza, Eli Hansberger, Oziel Briones and Casey Salinas.
The ensemble is open to all deserving students in the 10th-12th grades. The day will include full ensemble rehearsals, side-by-side rehearsal with university students, performances by Minnesota State, Mankato instrumental ensembles, and clinics with the applied faculty and music majors. The day-long event will conclude with a concert at 4:30 p.m.
