The Welcome Corps is a new program that matches local sponsors with refugees from sub-Saharan Africa. An information session will be hosted from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kivu Immigration Law, 222 10th St., Worthington.
Sponsor groups are responsible for helping the refugees get settled during their first 90 days in the United States. Individuals are encouraged to learn how they and their friends, family, church or colleagues can form a sponsor group.
