Worthington man injured in one-vehicle accident early Thursday

One individual was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital after an accident early Thursday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan operated by Virgilio Cerda, 29, of Worthington was westbound on Minnesota 60 when it went through a field, crossed the highway and came to rest on the west side of the railroad tracks. The incident occurred at 12:02 a.m. Thursday just north of 330th Street in Nobles County's Bigelow Township.

Cerda sustained a non-life-threatening injury. The Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Sanford Worthington EMS and the Bigelow Fire Department assisted at the scene.
