Three hurt in Tuesday crash in Worthington roundabout

Three people were hurt Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Worthington.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Kacee Higgins, 31, of Minneapolis was westbound on Minnesota 60 and a 2020 Chrysler Voyager operated by William Gerard Niemer, 68, of Hudson, Wis. was exiting eastbound Interstate 90. The vehicles collided in the roundabout; the crash was reported at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday.

Higgins and Niemer were both transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Voyager, Molly Durkin, 65, of Burnsville, was also taken to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.

The Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Worthington Police Department, Worthington Fire and Rescue and Sanford EMS assisted at the scene.
