The Martin County Sheriff's Office says a second suspect wanted for a shooting in Truman is now in custody.
An arrest warrant for Matthew Mohamed Davis, 20, of Owatonna was issued following the July 3 shooting that wounded four people. He is believed to have been given the gun used in the shooting by another previously arrested suspect, Lavont Shaw, 19.
Details of the July 3 incident made public in a sheriff’s office news release last month include that there was a large gathering of people at a farm site in rural Martin County. The gathering was shared via social media and drew hundreds of people from multiple communities that included Worthington, Fairmont and numerous others. Shots were fired into the crowd after an altercation, and the suspect fled the scene.
Davis was arrested in Steele County and has been taken back to Martin County to face charges. He faces 12 felonies, including multiple counts of aiding and abetting murder.
