A Pipestone woman was transported to a hospital with injuries as a result of a Monday afternoon crash in Pipestone County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass operated by Forest Melvin Erks, 57, of Pipestone was eastbound on Minnesota 30 in Sweet Township when it lost control in snow/icy conditions and left the roadway. The crash took place at 1:09 p.m. Monday.
A passenger in the vehicle – Jennifer Kay Stewart, 51, of Pipestone – was taken to Pipestone County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Erks was unhurt.
The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office and EMS assisted at the scene.
