There are 81 Nobles County individuals with current COVID-19 infections who are within their 10-day isolation period, according to the latest data released Wednesday by the Nobles County COVID-19 Joint Information Team. This represents a 21-person drop in current infections since the previous report.
Nobles County infection counts as reported by the Minnesota Department of Health on Tuesday, Sept. 28 were 4,606 total confirmations, up 50 from the previous report on Thursday, Sept. 23. There are 4,474 cases that are past the 10-day isolation.
Nobles County Emergency Management Director Tawn Hall noted in Wednesday’s press release that there has been one new COVID-related death reported for Nobles County. This is the first COVID-related death in the county since the middle of June.
The 81 known, currently-infected residents fall into the following age ranges and are indicated along with the change from the previous report: birth-age 10, 18 (up two); 11-15, nine (down one); 16-19, four (down four); 20-25, eight (down two); 26-50, 29 (down five); 51-64, seven (down 10); and ages 65 and older, six (down one).
Area private-vaccine providers in Nobles County, all in Worthington, are: Access Family Medical Clinic/Avera Medical Group, Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Sanford Health, Sterling Drug and Walgreens.
Wednesday’s press release notes that Nobles County is not requiring masks within the county buildings; entities within the buildings such as state departments may have other requirements. CDC guidelines will continue to be monitored.
