The Sibley-Ocheyedan Comm,unity School District has hired its new 7-12 principal, pending school board approval.
Casey Hertz has accepted the offer to be the next 7-12 principal at Sibley-Ocheyedan CSD for the 2023-2024 school year. Hertz was one of four candidates who interviewed for the position. Each candidate met with several different interview groups, and Hertz was the clear choice in each group.
Hertz is a Sibley-Ocheyedan graduate who is currently assistant principal at Worthington Middle School.
Hertz lives in Sibley with his wife, Michaela. He will begin his official duties with the Sibley-Ocheyedan CSD on Aug. 1. He will be taking over for the current principal, Stan De Zeeuw, who will be moving into the role of Superintendent of Sibley-Ocheyedan CSD starting July 1.
