Blue Earth Area earns girls tennis win over Worthington

The Worthington Trojans girls tennis team traveled to Blue Earth on Thursday and was defeated 6-1.


The lone triumph for the Trojans came at No. 4 singles, at which Taya Oberloh rallied to earn a 2-6 6-4 6-2 win over Blue Earth's Lauren Survus.. Two of the losses for Worthington came in three sets, as No. 1 singles player Ivy Jensen was edged by Addison Armstrong 5-7 6-2 10-6 and the No, 1 doubles duo of Taylor Nordseth and Riley Nickel was beaten 4-6 6-3 6-3 by Carol Schrader and Ashlyn Klinkner.


Sectional action is scheduled to begin on Monday, with high seeds hosting.
