Worthington couple facing several felony charges for fraud, forgery and theft

Several felony charges have been filed against a Worthington couple in connection with a February Nobles County Fair Association report.


Charges filed against Corey Allen Gronewold, 37, and Kimberly Lynn Gronewold, 36, include fraud, forgery and theft. They come after a Worthington Police Department investigation.


The Gronewolds have been summoned to appear in Nobles County Fifth District Court. Corey is charged with fraud in obtaining credit and forgery, while Kimberly is facing two theft charges.


Corey Gronewold faces a maximum of 10 years in jail and/or a $20,000 fine on the felony-level count of fraud, and a maximum of three years in jail and/or a $5,000 fine on the felony-level count of forgery.


Kimberly Gronewold faces up to five years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine for each of her felony-level theft charges.
