WHS baseball squad defeated at Jordan, 10-1

The Worthington Trojans baseball team traveled to Jordan to play a game moved up from its originally scheduled date of Friday. The Trojans were again undone by errors and missed opportunities on defense as they were defeated by the Hubmen, 10-1.

Matthias Noble – who WHS head coach Steve Robinson called “the best hitter I’ve seen in the league this year,” went 3-for-3 with a single, double and triple while driving in the lone Trojan run. Worthington, which is 3-6, will now be idle until Tuesday, when it plays at Marshall.

Minnesota West’s softball doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday at Minnesota State in Fergus Falls was canceled. The Lady Jays will next play Friday in a doubleheader at St. Cloud Tech.
