Two hurt in separate Sunday Minnesota 60 crashes

Ice and snow were believed to be contributing factors in two separate crashes Sunday in Jackson and Cottonwood counties that sent two people to hospitals.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, one of those was a three-vehicle crash that took place around 2 p.m. on Minnesota 60 near Windom. A passenger in one of the vehicles, Christine Brecht, 56, of Cold Spring, was taken to Windom Area Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

The second collision was a two-vehicle crash that took place shortly before 5 p.m. on Minnesota 60 west of Mountain Lake. Troopers say one of the drivers, Breeanna Blue of Windom, sustained non-life threatening-injuries and was taken to Windom Area Health.
