Trojan Spenser Nickel earns all-conference hockey honor

The Big South Conference has announced its Boys Hockey All-Conference Team for 2024-2025.
Luverne, which won the Section 3A championship to advance to the state tournament, has a total of six representatives on the all-conference team. Making the first team were Maddux Domagala, Ben Hartquist, Gavin Hoven, Jaxon Lais and Landyn Lais. Blaik Bork of the Cardinals was an honorable mention selection.
Waseca also had a total of six players selected — three on the first team and three more as honorable mentions. As for other schools from the region, Windom and Worthington each had one player chosen. The Eagles' Nick Espenson was named to the first team, while the Trojans' Spenser Nickel was an honorable mention pick.
