Trojan boys basketball player Meyer earns Big South Conference honor

Caleb Meyer, a junior on the Worthington Trojans' boys basketball team, has been named to the Big South Conference Boys Basketball All-Conference Team.


Meyer is a member of the Black Division All-Conference squad that also includes three St. Peter players, two Belle Plaine players, one Marshall player and one Waseca player. 


Belle Plaine, which topped the Black Division with a 10-2 conference record, had three additional team members earn honorable mention recognition. Waseca and Marshall also had one player each receiving honorable mention honors.


For the Big South's Gold Division, Section 3AA champion Jackson County Central had two players — senior Roman Voss and senior Weston Rowe — recognized as All-Conference. Among other players honored were senior Jaydon Johnson and junior Coy Thone of Luverne, senior Jackson Joyce of Windom and senior Austin Musch of Pipestone. Blue Earth Area, Fairmont, Redwood Valley and St. James Area also had one player each named to the team.


Receiving honorable mention accolades for JCC, which finished atop the Gold Division with a 12-2 conference mark, was sophomore Blaise Rowe. St. James Area had a pair of honorable mentions and Blue Earth Area and Fairmont one each.
