Sibley’s city administrator, economic development director and utility superintendent is one of three finalists for the position of Spencer City Manager.
Glenn Anderson has worked for the city of Sibley for seven years and is a native of Rock Rapids. Other finalists for the Spencer City Manager post are Paula “Kay” Cmelik, a Hartley native who is now employed as city clerk in Des Moines, and Al Roder, who is the city manager of Independence.
Anderson, Cmelik and Roder have all bee invited to interview in Spencer next week. The process will include a public meet and greet from 6 to 7 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Clay County Heritage Center.
