Worthington's temps for March -- well above normal

Worthington had more than a half inch of rain greater than normal during the month of March, according to data compiled at the Worthington Wastewater Treatment Plant. The month's high temperatures, meanwhile, were more than 10 degrees above the average, and overnight lows were also above normal.
The average high temperature in Worthington in March was 50.6 degrees, or 10.9 degrees warmer than the average March high of 39.7. The warmest high of the month, 83 degrees, came during the 24-hour period that ended at 7 a.m. March 29. The next-warmest high was 71 on March 15.
The average low in Worthington in March was 24.1 degrees, or 2.9 degrees warmer than the average of 21.2. The lowest temperature reading came on both March 1 and 2, as a low of 10 was recorded on both days.
Worthington received 2.01 inches of precipitation during the month of March, a total that was .55 of an inch more than normal. We're still drier than average for the year; there have been just 2.17 inches of precip this year, and the January-March average is 2.99 inches.
The average high for the first three months of 2025 is 34.1 degrees, compared to the average of 29.9. The average low for this year thus far is 10.7 degrees, compared to 12.0.
