Several Trojans earn all-conference boys soccer honors

Several Worthington Trojans have been named to the Big South Conference Boys Soccer All-Conference team.


Forwards Jonathan Banegas and Carlos Castillo and defenders Maqui Sadoval and Hugo Garcia were named to the team. Among the others recognized were Moo Gay, Roberto Garcia Lopez and Mason Graven of Marshall and Theodor Myhre and Aaron Graplar of Fairmont.


Forward Charles Saydee and defender Mathias Noble were Trojans earning honorable mention honors. Among the others named were Jared Hernandez and Jasiel Flores of Marshall, Jack Sadusky and Gerson Revolorio of Fairmont and Andrei Rivera of St. James/Windom/Madelia.


In girls soccer, midfielder Hannah Gordon and defender Alexi Schnieder of Marshall were among those making the all-conference team. Three Tigers -- midfielder Anna Kuecker and forwards Averi Schnieder and Rylee Jacobson -- were honorable mention choices, as were midfielder Sara Esquivel of Worthington, defender Isabella Larson of Fairmont and Mayra Aguilar of St. James/Windom/Madelia.


Among those earning All-Conference girls tennis honors were: Hope Klanderud of Fairmont; Taylor DePover of Marshall; Sarah Stegenga of Luverne; Jenna Boeke and Brielle Kulm of Pipestone; and Hannah McNab of Worthington. Among the honorable mention picks were Abigail Peyman of Fairmont; Naomi Schroeder of Marshall; Roselynn Hartshorn, Augusta Papik and Caitlin Kindt, Luverne; and Vivian Brockberg and Alicia Haack, Pipestone.
