Minnesota Golden Gophers forward Isaiah Ihnen suffered a major left knee injury in practice and will undergo season-ending surgery according to head coach Ben Johnson. Ihnen was expected to battle for a starting role after averaging 2.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 29 games last season. With the injury, it's another blow for the Gophers who now have Eric Curry as the team's lone holdover from last year's roster. The Gophers lost 10 players to the transfer portal after former head coach Richard Pitino was fired last March. While Johnson has brought in seven transfers of his own, Parker Fox suffered a torn ACL of his own last month and will also miss the 2021-22 season.
