RAGBRAI event will pass through Minnesota, Jackson County

Jackson County will be hosting a RAGBRAI bicycle event at Brown Park South from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 21.
According to a county press release, RAGBRAI — which stands for the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa — will be traveling into another state for the first time in its 52-year history when it visits Jackson County and Brown Park South. The park is located between Loon and Pearl lakes in the southern part of the county.
Said Jackson County Administrator Ryan Krosch in the press release: "Jackson County is excited to be the first community outside of Iowa to ever host a RAGBRAI event. This is a great opportunity to showcase Jackson County and southwest Minnesota to thousands of bicycle riders from across the country and world."
The RAGBRAI stop at Brown Park South will include food and beverage vendors, music, tourism information and more, The public is welcome to attend the event, though there will be no on-site parking available. Those wishing to attend the event will need to take a shuttle bus that will pick up and drop off at the Jackson County Central parking lot in Jackson. A bus will pick up and drop off at the high school approximately every 30-40 minutes.
