An additional COVID-related death was reported Tuesday in Nobles County, bringing the total county-wide count to 58. Meanwhile, active case counts in the county continue to fall.
Data released Wednesday by the Nobles County COVID-19 Joint Information Team shows that the number of individuals with COVID cases within the 10-day isolation period has dropped to 58. Nobles County Emergency Management Director Tawn Hall acknowledges there are many home-testers, and that those tests are not recorded in state counts.
Nobles County infection counts as reported Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health were 6,845 total confirmations – 43 more than the previous report – along with 6,744 cases that are past the 10-day isolation.
The 58 known, currently-infected residents fall into the following age ranges and are indicated along with the change from the previous report: birth-age 10, six (down seven); 11-15, two (down one); 16-19, three (down four); 20-25, six (same); 26-50, 12 (down 24); 51-64, eight (down 10); and ages 65 and older, six (down four).
Area private-vaccine providers in Nobles County, all in Worthington, are Access Family Medical Clinic/Avera Medical Group, Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Sanford Health, Sterling Drug and Walgreens. Adolescents 5-15 years old can receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine; Pfizer for 16 to 18 year olds, all other vaccines for older-age people.
