The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend a construction open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 at Generations (105 S. Estey St., Luverne), to learn about the upcoming U.S. 75 project in Luverne.
There will be no formal presentation, and people are welcome to stop by at their convenience during the open house. Staff from MnDOT and the contractor will be available to answer questions about the project, construction timelines, and detour routes.
The project includes pavement improvements, roadway safety improvements at the intersection with Main Street, and pedestrian safety improvements throughout the project. The City of Luverne will also replace utilities in coordination with the project.
Preliminary tree clearing is expected to begin in mid-March with minimal traffic impacts. Construction is expected to begin in mid-April with traffic detoured through fall 2026, weather permitting.
Henning Construction, Inc. was awarded the project with a bid of $13,598,341.93.
