Mountain Lake male hurt in two-vehicle crash on Friday

A Mountain Lake man was injured Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Minnesota 60.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1995 Ford F250 operated by Christian Groetken, 27, of Yankton, S.D. was traveling eastbound on Minnesota 60, as was a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Tonya Wallert, 55, of Mountain Lake. The vehicles, traveling in snow/ice conditions, collided at mile marker 60. The crash was reported at 7:35 a.m. Friday.

Wallert was transported to St. James Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Groetken was uninjured. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office, Butterfield Fire Department and St. James Ambulance assisted at the scene.
