Minnesota West's Gordon recognized for continued OADN service

Minnesota West Community & Technical College is recognizing Dr. Dawn Gordon, Dean of Science & Nursing, for her continued national service with the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN).

After being elected to the OADN Nominating Committee last year, Gordon will continue serving alongside the organization's newly elected board of directors and committee members for 2026. In this role, she helps identify and recruit nursing leaders from across the nation, supporting the advancement of associate degree nursing education.

A Minnesota West press release says Gordon's involvement with OADN brings a national perspective to Minnesota West's nursing programs while ensuring the voices of rural communities, students, and nursing educators are represented in important conversations shaping the future of healthcare education.

Says Gordon in the release: "Serving on a national committee is an honor and an opportunity to advocate for the role associate degree nursing programs play in preparing the healthcare workforce."
