Minnesota 60 crash on 60 injures Worthington woman

A Worthington woman was injured Saturday in a motor vehicle-vs.-deer accident on Minnesota 60.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by John Walter Sandhurst, 65, of Worthington was westbound on Minnesota 60 when it struck a deer. The crash was reported at 7:15 p.m. Saturday from the intersection with Minnesota 15 in Watonwon County's Fieldon Township.

A passenger in the Trailblazer, Lori Ann Sandhurst, 64, of Worthington, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-St. James with non-life-threatening injuries. The Watonwan County Sheriff's Office and Madelia Ambulance assisted at the scene.
