The final year of construction on Minnesota 15/60 near Madelia is expected to begin on Monday, April 10, weather permitting, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT is resurfacing seven miles of Minnesota 15/60 from the Minnesota 15/60 interchange south of Madelia to the Minnesota 15/60 interchange north of Madelia. This is the second year of a two-year project. Construction this year includes resurfacing the westbound lanes, lighting, drainage repairs, updating guardrail and rehabbing several bridges. Construction on the eastbound lanes of Minnesota 15/60 was completed in 2022.
Traffic will be impacted with a combination of detours and head-to-head traffic configurations. Two-way traffic in the eastbound lanes will begin April 10, and ramp closures are expected to begin April 11. The project is expected to be complete in mid-October, weather permitting.
