Meeting on school bond referendum is Wednesday

There will be a community informational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Ellsworth Public School gymnasium to present information on the May 14 special election in which voters will consider a $5 million bond referendum.

Key updates that the district states will be made possible by passage of the bond include: an HVAC cooling and heating system that includes every classroom and the gym and shop; replacing rooves in the gymnasium; an upgraded electrical system that would support the new HVAC system; a new propane fuel system that would replace the current oil-fuel based system; and new windows that would be more efficient with the new heating and cooling system.

People may visit ellsworth.mntm.org for more information about the bond referendum. Another community information meeting about the special election is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 8.
