First District Convention for GOP is Saturday in Jackson

About 250 Republicans from 21 counties across Minnesota’s First Congressional District are expected to gather in Jackson County on Saturday for their 2024 district convention.

Republicans will endorse a candidate for Congress, elect delegates to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, elect a presidential elector to serve in the Electoral College and consider resolutions to the state party platform during the convention. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Jackson County Central High School.
