Man suffers serious injuries in Sunday rollover crash

A Lake Wilson man suffered a life-threatening injury as a result of a one-vehicle crash Sunday.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pickup operated by Voyl Eugene Beers, 74, of Lake Wilson was westbound on Minnesota 30 when it left the roadway, entered the north ditch and rolled. The crash was reported at 4:25 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 70th Avenue in Leeds Township.


Beers was transported to Murray County Medical Center in Slayton with a life-threatening injury. The state patrol reported that alcohol was involved in the crash, and that Beers was not wearing a seat belt.


The Murray County Sheriff's Office, Slayton Police Department, Lake Wilson Fire and Rescue and Murray County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
