The Highway 75 reconstruction project in Luverne is nearly complete, and the detour is expected to be lifted by noon Wednesday, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The project began on April 15 and included pavement improvements, roadway safety improvements at the intersection with Main Street, and pedestrian safety improvements throughout the project. The city of Luverne also replaced utilities in coordination with the project.

Crews are expected to return next spring to complete finishing work on the project with minimal impacts to traffic.

Benefits of the project include improved pavement and utilities, increased safety and traffic flow, and pedestrian safety improvements.

Henning Construction, Inc. was awarded the project with a bid of $13,598,341.93.
