Man severely hurt in Saturday farm accident

A Cottonwood County man sustained severed injuries in a farm accident Saturday.

According to a press release issued by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, county dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 3:06 p.m. Saturday referencing a male victim who had been working in a grain bin and got caught up in the power sweep auger. First Responders were dispatched to the scene and were able to get the victim, identified as Travis Muller, 30, removed from the auger.

Muller was transported from the scene by air ambulance to the Twin Cities with severe injuries to his legs. The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Windom Fire Department, Windom Ambulance, Jeffers First Responders, North Memorial Air Ambulance, Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
