Man dies in Monday evening collision in Jackson County

A Mountain Lake man died Monday as a result of a two-vehicle crash in Jackson County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2015 International semi operated by Colin Lamar Hooley, 24, of Plymouth, Ind. was northbound on U.S. 71 and a 2015 Ford Fusion operated by Glen Edward Letellier, 80, of Mountain Lake was turning southbound on U.S. 71 when they collided in the intersection. The crash was reported at 6:53 p.m. Monday at milepost 19.

The semi driver not injured in the crash. The Windom Police and Fire Departments and Ambulance, the Cottonwood and Jackson County Sheriff's Offices, the Jackson Police and Fire Departments and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.
