Magnolia residents injured in Monday afternoon crash

Two Magnolia residents were transported to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center with injuries as the result of a one-vehicle crash in Minnesota’s Lyon County.

 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2017 Dodge Ran 1500 operated by Jeffrey Eldon Runia, 57, of Magnolia was northbound on Minnesota 23 when it left the roadway, entered the ditch and crash near milepost 85. The crash took place at 2:55 p.m. Monday in Lucas Township.

 

Runia and a passenger, Barbara Jean Runia, 54, of Magnolia, were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other passengers – Graze Kesha Runia, 18, and Tannisha Sam Runia, 19, both also of Magnolia – were unhurt. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Cottonwood Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
