Hadley Wachal, a freshman at Jackson County Central High School who plays on the Huskies’ softball team, is this week’s Radio Works Athlete of the Week! Wachal set a new school record by striking out 20 batters in 5-4 win over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta on Saturday in the Section 3AA Softball Tournament. Wachal now has 35 strikeouts in 16 innings this postseason as JCC -- now winners of 12 straight -- remains one of two unbeaten teams left in the tourney, which continues Tuesday in Marshall.
