JCC finishes third in state Class A team wrestling tournament

In state Class A team wrestling, JCC earned third place by earning a 30-27 triumph over Minneota.
Colten Gosssen (114), Kyle Thier (145) and Dallas Gossen (145) each won by technical fall, Ever Munoz Mazariegos (121), Evan Bartholmaus (160) and Carson Kolander (189) all won by decision at 121, and Cael Entriken (215) won by fall.

It will be the boys basketball version of Super Saturday in the Worthington High School gym this weekend with four Section 3A South games on tap.
Top-seeded Hills-Beaver Creek will play No. 8 Red Rock Central, which beat No. 9 Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 73-65 on Thursday night, at 11 a.m. No. 4 Russell-Tyler-Ruthton meets No. 5 Edgerton at 12:30 p.m., and No. 2 Southwest Minnesota Christian takes on Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, which knocked off Adrian-Ellsworth 72-60 on Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. Third-seeded Murray County Central plays No. 6 Westbrook-Walnut Grove at 4 p.m.
