Three people were injured as a result of a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Murray County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2012 Ford Edge operated by Travis Jon Halland, 49, of Storden was northbound on U.S. 59 and a 2004 GMC Yukon XL operated by Jason Michael Carlson, 31, of Iona was eastbound on 201st Street. The vehicles collided in the intersection; the crash was reported at 4:44 p.m. Friday.
Halland, who the State Patrol noted was not wearing a seat belt, and two passengers –- Amy Leigh Halland, 47, of Storden and an unidentified juvenile male from Storden – were transported to Murray County Hospital in Slayton with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver, Carlson, was unhurt.
Assisting at the scene were the Murray County Sheriff's Office, Lake Shetek Fire & Rescue, Murray County Ambulance, Slayton Fire Department and Tracy Ambulance.
