Demolition at the Worthington ShopKo is underway.
As of Thursday morning, only a small portion of the tear-down of the former department store building on North Humiston Avenue was completed, as part of the building’s northeast corner had been removed. A member of the demolition crew noted that work would continue Thursday and would not be completed in one day of work.
KwikTrip announced its purchase of the former ShopKo property in November, and a new KwikTrip will potentially be finished sometime in 2023.
