Crash in Windom on Monday injures one person

One person was taken to an area hospital following a two-vehicle crash Monday in Windom.

A 2001 Ford F150 operated by Tam La Say, 25, of Okabena was traveling southbound on Minnesota 62 and a 2007 Toyota Camry operated by Marcia Kay Hormig, 61, of Windom was eastbound on Third Avenue when the vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash was reported at 2:28 p.m. Monday.

Hormig was transported to Windom Area Health with a non-life-threatening injury. The Windom Fire Department and EMS as well as the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
