Community Thanksgiving Dinner will once again happen in Worthington

First Lutheran Church in Worthington will again be the site for a Community Thanksgiving Dinner scheduled to begin at noon on Thanksgiving Day.

Donations and volunteers for the dinner are needed. There will be shifts to help prep, cook, serve and clean on Wednesday and Thursday. To volunteer, text or call Tammy at (507) 227-7010 or Susanne at (507) 360-6699. 

Financial or gift card donations may be dropped off at the First Lutheran Church office anytime, or from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 or starting at 8 a.m. Thanksgiving Day. The church is located at 1200 Fourth Ave., Worthington.

Pie, dessert and salad donations may be dropped off during those same times at the church. People are asked to call or text by Nov. 24 to let organizers know what you are bringing.

In addition to eating at the church, meals will also be available for delivery. If you know someone who needs a meal delivery to their home, stop in at 11:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. and there will be a "grab and go" box for you to bring to them. If you have more than two "grab and go" boxes to pick up, please call (507) 227-7010 or (507) 360-6699 prior to your arrival.
