Young boy hurt in Sunday morning crash on I-90

A 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in Luverne following a one-vehicle crash Sunday on Interstate 90.

 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2004 Toyota Sienna operated by Juan Sebastian Morales, 21, of Worthington, was westbound on I-90 in snow/ice conditions when the vehicle went out of control and entered the ditch. The incident took place at 10:27 a.m. Sunday near mile marker 6 in Beaver Creek Township.

 

Morales, along with four passengers – Selina Miguel, 26, Melinda Morales, 18, Silma Perez, 43, and Maurilio Vasquez, 26, all of Worthington, were not injured in the crash. The 3-year-old boy was transported to Sanford Luverne Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.

 

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
