WRHCF awards $50K grant to Every Meal

The Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation has awarded a $50,000 grant to Every Meal.

Every Meal, which is based in Roseville, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to fight child hunger. It focuses on filling the food gaps children face on weekends, extended breaks and summer when they’re not able to access school meal programs. Through Every Meal's multiple food gap programs, it provides children and families experiencing food insecurity with access to good food at more than 500 locations in Minnesota.

Every Meal provides the weekend food backpack program for kids in Worthington and Adrian schools. During the 2022-2023 school year, 655 kids were part of this program and recipients of these weekend food backpacks.
